Security and data
Clear access. Preserved reports. A history you can follow.
Inspection information needs a traceable path from asset to issued report. Here are some of the product’s capabilities and the questions to review before an agreement.
Access follows responsibility.
Besiktra has roles and permissions for work such as planning, inspection, review and administration. Access can be limited to the part of the operation a user is responsible for.
The customer portal gives customer users access to the assets and documents they are authorised to see. Before a pilot, roles need to be tested against your actual responsibilities, including who may review and issue reports.
A correction should preserve the original.
Issued documents are retained when a report is corrected. Previous revisions remain available so that the record of issued versions can be followed.
An inspection result, an administrative status and a reported repair are different things. A customer reporting that a repair is complete does not replace the inspection company’s technical judgement.
Ask to see a sample export.
Besiktra’s organisation export includes record data in JSON, document files and a manifest. Missing document files are identified. This should not be taken as a guarantee that every original attachment is included.
Review a concrete example before making a decision. Check the relationships, documents and history you need to keep. Export scope, access after termination and any assistance should be covered by the agreement.
Operations need specific answers.
Product permissions do not describe every aspect of a hosted service. Before a pilot, we need to review the actual deployment, providers and division of responsibilities.
Besiktra is software for inspection companies. It does not replace your company’s competence, procedures or accreditation, and it is not marketed as a Swedac-approved system.
